windows applicationsmy developments |
Here you can find more information on Windows applications I have designed and developed following the entire development process from the project board to the final go-live release. In many cases, I am still maintaining and/or supporting the source code.
By Windows applications I am referring to stand alone programs developed for the MS Windows based operative systems.
This is a stand-alone Windows application that plugs into the McDonald's EPoS systems (to gather sales data) and into Sage 50 to post the sales data after assigning accounting details based on users configurations (i.e.: nominal codes, departments, bank accounts). It also manages the importing and matching of supplier invoices, which are then posted to Sage 50.
The system is specific to McDonald's restaurants and works with every version of Sage 50 from 2011 to 2015. The program uses the web based licensing system and is offered on a subscription basis. It is currently running for over 40 McDonald's restaurants in Ireland (and counting...).
NOTE: The software was designed for and is marketed by Envisage Cloud Limited.
Some additional information can be found here.
This is a stand-alone Windows application that communicates with some of the main EPoS systems on the market (i.e.: CBE, Merit, Leaders). The system gathers sales and purchases (deliveries) from the EPoS system, imports electronic invoices from BWG or Barry’s suppliers and processes them into the Sage accounting software (Sage 50 or Sage 200). Accounting details are assigned based on users configurations (i.e.: nominal codes, departments, bank accounts).
The system was originally designed for convenience stores, although it has been successfully applied to other retail businesses, and works with every version of Sage 50 from 2011 to 2015 and Sage 200 from v5.1 to the latest version. The program uses my web based licensing system and is offered on a subscription basis. It is currently running in over 60 stores in Ireland (and counting...).
NOTE: The software was designed for and is marketed by Envisage Cloud Limited.
This is a stand-alone application that sits between the accounting software (Sage 200) and a hand-held delivery system (developed by Crimson Tide). The application handles routes and runs, trucks, drivers, products, orders and waste oil collection. New orders are uploaded to hand-held devices used by drivers. Completed orders and collections are then downloaded and processed accordingly.
I was not involved in this project from the beginning. When I took charge, the application was already partially developed, however, I implemented brand new services for background server operations and I have implemented two brand new modules: to handle price changes, and to handle waste oil collections and payments.
NOTE: The software was designed for and is marketed by Envisage Cloud Limited.
